The video I have embedded above is from a team of engineers and students at the University of Maryland.  This team built the first self propelled human helicopter known to man.  The first flight lasted a little over 12 seconds which isnt that long but it is an awesome feat to overcome nonetheless and a great start.  I think this is an awesome Idea to think that one day we might be peddling our way around the sky!

  1. What an interesting invention! It may only fly for a short period of time but Im sure it will get perfected to last longer!

  2. That is pretty cool. I wonder what will come, in the future, because of this. Its bulky design reminds me of the Wright Brother's first plane.
